My painting technique, which I call "Beton ART", was created in 2018.
For many, it is still very new, as I wasn’t able to introduce this method of work for 2 years due to the Corona period.
The idea came to me when concrete on walls became the latest fashion in living spaces.
The walls seemed timeless to me and not too overloaded, but also a bit too smooth and cold. Nevertheless, I was very taken with it, so I decided I’d like to put concrete onto canvas.
"Only, how do you put concrete onto canvas without it cracking?" A question that initially was a mystery to me and had to be solved. Also, I wanted to retain my mixing technique.
And thus, I experimented and came up with a very good solution.
Now, almost five years later, all my concrete pictures are still in perfect condition. But this technique remains my secret.
And, I continue to develop this way of painting further and further.
I also find concrete in combination with rust, epoxy resin or wood very interesting. It doesn't matter whether you depict something as specific or abstract, it always looks interesting.
These materials give the paintings more structure and life, they are timeless and suit every interior.
